Welcome to MCC! A bit of context:

Maybe every millennial with a restless mind and a heavy burden of demands has tried some kind of meditation practice, mindfulness, or awareness… even without knowing. It’s just ingrained in our fight for survival.

Well, I certainly have tried meditation a million times, and despite being somewhat successful with Zen meditation sometimes, it is hard for me; it demands energy, discipline, and patience—which is all good if we really want to have a dedicated Zen meditation practice, but for me it was becoming heavy on top of all other daily struggles.

Why Art as Meditation Works?

Ancient traditions like Shodō and Shakyō used brush and ink to quiet the mind centuries before “mindfulness” was a word. Every technique here works the same way: it gives your hands a job simple enough to free your mind — no talent required.

No skill needed

No perfect outcome

Just presence
